Norfolk County Council's planning committee has approved a number of amendments to a major new bus station project which is already in development.
Members met yesterday at County Hall to approve several changes to the new Thetford Bus Interchange, in Minstergate. They include the provision of an extra toilet cubicle in the existing toilet block, the inclusion of a BT call box, and the installation of a ticket machine for short stay parking on the site.
New boundary fencing along London Road and Minstergate will also be introduced, according to plans presented to councillors.
The amendments included the provision of four parking bays for residents in Minstergate, which have already been put in.
Work on the bus station began in July. It is expected to cost more than £3m, with money being released by Moving Thetford Forward.
