Communities across North Norfolk are set to benefit from the latest round of grants from the Big Society Fund.
Nine grants totalling more than £50,000 were made in the latest round.
The fund is run by North Norfolk District Council.
Projects to benefit include: Stibbard Parish Council (£15,000) to remove and replace the old and condemned play equipment and to extend and improve the playing field incorporating a football area.
Sheringham Playpark Revamp (£10,000) towards the purchase a bespoke piece of play equipment – a Viking Ship, which will allow less abled children to play with those children who are more able bodied.
Baconsthorpe Village Hall (£6,466) to install a fire alarm system, replace the kitchen and bar area flooring and purchase blackout window blinds for the hall.
North Walsham Community Association (£4,600) to purchase and install six new windows in the main hall and replace external cladding of North Walsham Community Centre.
East Ruston Parish Council (£2,060) to install a footpath between East Ruston Infants School and the village hall.
Sheringham Dementia Friendly Community (£950.80) to print leaflets, posters and the local directory of support services sessions to raise the level of understanding of dementia in the community by providing practical support to people with dementia and to purchase games and equipment for activity.
Walsingham Development Group (£4,465.30) to purchase signs and way-marks for five permissive routes, signs for 'Keep Walsingham Litter Free' and signed maps for local walks.
West Runton Bowls Club (£1,989.90) to purchase a composting toilet to be used as the male facilities.
Wells Town Football Club (£4,500) to completely refurbish the showers in one of the changing rooms at the football clubhouse.
Council Leader Tom FitzPatrick, chairman of the Big Society Fund Panel, said: 'The range of groups which the Big Society Fund helps is incredibly diverse, both in terms of type and in terms of location in the district.
'We are always encouraging more people to come forward with the projects they want to fund and our team has great expertise in advising how to approach the application process.'
