Mr Alger died, aged 25, in Spain in June last year.

Mr Alger, from Necton, near Swaffham, worked as a football performance analyst in Qatar, in the Middle East and had previously completed an internship with Hull City Football Club.

He had also played for Dereham Town Football Club.

'We thought as a family long and hard about what we wanted to do in Sam's memory.

'Sport was Sam's life and he loved to encourage people to enjoy sport and achieve elite performance, so we thought the pavilion would be the most fitting way to remember him.

'It will be used by the children at the school and the wider community for many generations into the future.

'It will create a legacy for Sam.'
