A lifeboat crew were called to the aid of a 'surfer in difficulty' in Great Yarmouth.
A member of the public called 999 after seeing what they believed to be a surfer in difficulty.
A lifeboat from the Great Yarmouth and Gorleston station was launched to aid the surfer.
However it soon became clear that it was a false alarm.
