A reenactment group is looking for newcomers to learn Dark Age combat techniques.

Wuffa Viking and Saxon Reenactment Society, based in the Great Yarmouth area, is holding two Dark Age combat taster recruitment evenings at Acle War Memorial Recreation Centre on Thursday, April 6 and Thursday, April 13 from 7.30pm to 10pm.

The evenings will be free for newcomers to Dark Age combat and no experience is necessary, no booking is needed and all interested people of any age or sex are welcome. People would need to be in a fairly fit condition.

Wuffa has a Living History section and takes part in events during the year. They meet for combat practice at Cliff Park Junior School on a Thursday evening, but are holding the two taster sessions to attract new recruits. If successful there maybe more training sessions in Acle.
