Last stand for clifftop house near Southwold

Bulldozers have begun demolishing a house that is balancing on a clifftop near Southwold.

Workers are knocking down Thursley, an 80-year-old family home in Easton Bavents, before coastal erosion causes it to fall into the sea. The Thrale family have owned the house since the 1940s - when it sat 80 metres from the clifftop. But over the past 60 years they have watched as the coast grew closer and earlier this month decided to have the building demolished before Mother Nature could take hold.
