Nothing says it is Christmas more than putting up the decorations, and now visitors to King's Lynn can scoop a prize with the help of baubles.

The bauble trail returns for a second year in the town centre, where a bumper hamper of Christmas gifts are up for grabs.

Organised by the Vancouver Quarter, families taking part in the trail this Sunday will be tasked with finding a number of baubles hidden in shops in the town.

Some of the prizes for the winning family include an afternoon tea at the Bank House Hotel, a £30 voucher for Alive Corn Exchange and lunch for four to the value of £50 at the Dukes Head.

The prize draw winner will also receive gift vouchers for Sainsbury's and Wilko, a bouquet from Bridget's Flowers and a behind the scenes tour of KLFM where the family will get the chance to read the weather forecast.

The Vancouver Quarter will also make a donation to a charity of the family's choice.

A £20 voucher for New Conduit Street-store Ikon, prizes from Debenhams and The Entertainer, a family photoshoot by Matthew Usher Photography and a limited edition King's Lynn skyline necklace are also included.

Events and marketing assistant David Blackmore said: 'The baubles are hidden somewhere inside all the participating retailers around the town centre - but there is a special map which can help people find them all.

'There has been so much on offer in the town in the run-up to Christmas and we are really pleased with how well all the events have gone.

'It has been great to see so many people supporting the town centre traders and enjoying the wonderful range of events that have been organised.

'The bauble trail proved popular last year and we hope that families will make the most of the event as the hamper is really special and is a wonderful prize.'

Last year's trail proved to be a festive favourite and Sunday's trail will start at midday but families can collect maps as late as 3pm. The maps can be collected from the vacant unit on Broad Street, opposite the Deichmann shoe store.

Late night shopping continues in Lynn on Thursday afternoons, with free parking after 3pm in council-run car parks around the town.
