King's Lynn and West Norfolk Oddfellows have all the right steps to help those looking to make new friends, as it hosts a tea dance with a difference.

The tea dance is one of hundreds of events running up and down the country throughout September, as part of the Oddfellows' annual celebration of friendship.

Held at Reffley Community Hall on Tuesday, September 18, from 2pm until 4pm, the local friendship group hopes the dance will bring old and new friends together, as they enjoy complimentary sweet treats and toe-tapping tunes.

Alison Schultz, branch secretary, said: 'Having a strong circle of friends around you is really important – not only for your mental health, but it's been proven to boost your physical health too.'

The event is free and all are welcome to attend, however pre-notice of attendance is essential. Tickets can be reserved by calling Alison Schultz on 01553 776030 or emailing alison.schultz@oddfellows.co.uk.
