An environmental campaign group in King's Lynn are putting together a special event to celebrate International Earth Day.

On Saturday, April 21, from 4.30pm until 7pm, KLimate Concern will be holding an informal drop-in event at St Nicholas Chapel for the third year running.

There will be displays from a wide range of groups including Norfolk Wildlife Trust, Gaywood Valley Conservation Trust, the Civic Society among others.

The event will also include art and music following this year's theme 'end plastic pollution', as well as free food, a bar and children's activities.

In order to promote pedal power, visitors can have a go making their own smoothies by pedaling a bike.

Daphne Sampson, founding member of KLimate Concern, said:'Earth Day gives a wonderful opportunity for us to bring together lots of groups with environmental concerns, at the very time that the public's response to the plastic pollution issue gives real encouragement that people power can make a difference.'
