Free gym classes to help fight heart disease

Get fighting fit whilst helping to fight heart disease with free gym classes in King’s Lynn.
To raise money for the British Heart Foundation, all classes at Alive Lynnsport will be free throughout the day starting from 6.45am until 7.45pm on Friday, March 23.
Alive Leisure is supporting Shaun McKenna, a personal trainer who has been granted a place in the London 2018 Marathon supporting the BHF.
Mr McKenna is running the marathon in memory of his father John McKenna who died from a heart attack in 2015.
He said: “The heart is the body’s engine, sometimes peoples engines don’t run as efficiently as others. But together we can improve, develop, rebuild, and reconstruct our engines through the help of specialists and research.
“The more we know the more we can do, and the more we support the more long fulfilled lives we will live.
“I appreciate any support in raising money for a cause that is true to my heart for many reasons. I hope you can find a reason to support me on my journey and the British Heart Foundation and for my Dad John Henry McKenna.”
Classes are available to members and non-members and everyone who attends will be entered into a draw to win one-to-one personal training sessions.
There will be donation buckets collecting on the day and people can donate on online at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/in-memory-of-john-mckenna
