King’s Lynn town centre hit by power cut

More than 500 businesses and homes in the centre of King's Lynn were left without power today.

They include Costa Coffee, TJ Hughes, Superdrug, Poundland, TK Max and Burger King.

Lynn-based radio station KL.FM has also been knocked off air by supply surges which have affected other properties in the town.

Tracey Sparling, spokesman for supplier UK Power Networks, told EDP24 543 customers lost their supply at 12.37pm.

Power has now been restored to the most of town centre, although some shops are still in darkness. Engineers are on their way to investigate.
