To celebrate 30 years of bringing free entertainment to the town, King's Lynn Festival Too has lined up an impressive roster of names from the past to entertain people in 2015.

Acts include The Blow Monkeys, Heaven 17, Bucks Fizz, Republica, The Fratellis, and Dodgy.

The spectacular will be staged in King Staithe Square and Tuesday Market Place over three weekends from June 27.

And young musicians will also have the chance to perform on the big stage with the shows on July 3, 4, 10 and 11 being opened by musicians from the King Edward VII Academy, Springwood High School, St Clement's High School and King's Lynn Academy, respectively.

Lynn-based band Gifford are also on the bill and another local act, The Puppeteers are also scheduled to appear.

And the winners and runners-up of the area's Battle of the Bands competition will also take to the stage on July 4 and 11. Festival Too chairman Bridget Nurse said: 'We're very pleased with the line-up. We've had some excellent support from sponsors this year.'

Festival Too was born back in 1985, when a group of business people got together to put on a music event in town to complement the King's Lynn Festival.

In year one, the budget was £5,000, but in recent years, it has grown to about £80,000. Festival Too, which is totally non-profit making, features fireworks, fairground rides, food stalls and a full programme of street entertainment.

In previous years regular crowds of over 10,000 have seen acts such as Blue, Atomic Kitten, Toyah Willcox, Deacon Blue, The Stranglers, Bad Manners, and The Human League thrill the audience.
