King's Lynn Festival Chorus bids a fond farewell to their accompanist Chris Brown.

The former organist and choir master of Fakenham Parish Church, Mr Brown will be leaving the chorus to join Chipping Norton School in Oxfordshire as head of music.

A King's Lynn Festival Chorus spokesman said: 'In the short time Chris has been with us, he has become a lynch pin of the chorus, gaining complete respect and huge amount of affection from all, with his mischievous humour that complements his enormous musicianship and mastery of the piano and organ.

'We wish Chris and his partner Karen Philpott the very best for the future as they leave Norfolk.'

The Chorus will be performing in King's Lynn Festival, in a concert with the European Union Chamber Orchestra on Wednesday, July 19.
