Residents of Wymondham who are fighting for the King's Head Meadow play area to be left as it is have formed an official action group.
The King's Head Meadow Playscape Group was launched at a meeting at Wymondham Town Football Club on Monday, which attracted more than 50 people.
It followed a week-long sit-in to prevent contractors removing play equipment installed in 2014, which the town council voted to do earlier this year due to noise complaints.
Last Thursday the council agreed to a Norfolk County Council offer to act as a mediator to help find a resolution to the dispute.
Wymondham's Dave Roberts and Neil Seach were elected the group's spokespeople and main representatives, and Sharon Hastings is the secretary.
Mr Roberts said he hoped the group would: 'be able to negotiate a compromise for all parties involved in the King's Head Meadow.'
