The awards come after the youngsters completed a series of challenges revolving around expeditions, exploring other cultures, personal fitness, developing new skills and creativity.

Also at the celebration the group cooked more than 100 pizzas using a cob oven built by the Scouts, and they had the chance to try archery, play Frisbee golf, cook dough twists on an open fire and make bracelets.

Gold award recipients were Scouts Alfie Monck, Chelsea Makin, Annabel Mullet and Holly Belbin, silver award winners for Cubs were Jakey Hall, Ruby Perrin, India Makin and Destiny Fathers, and Bronze award winners for beavers were Archie Rice, Levi Makin, Katie Stones and Lacey Fathers. The Kenninghall Scout Group has also appealed for new leaders.

Michelle Monck, group leader said, 'We urgently need more adult volunteers.
