Jury retires in case of former Lowestoft shopkeeper
The jury in the trial of a former Lowestoft shopkeeper accused of sexually abusing five boys is due to retire to consider its verdicts.
Before Ipswich Crown Court is Anthony Francis, 52, of Yarmouth Road, Thorpe St Andrew, near Norwich, who has denied eight offences of indecent assault and two offences of sexual activity with a child between 1992-2005.
It has been alleged that Francis carried out the alleged offences at shops he owned in Maidstone Road and Norwich Road, Lowestoft.
The five alleged victims were aged between 13 and 16.
Francis has denied the offences and claimed the alleged victims had colluded against him.
The judge concluded his summing up in the case today (Tuesday) and the jury will retire to consider its verdicts on Wednesday morning.
