A 25-year-old from Dereham says his deaf sister and blind cousin inspired him to run his first London Marathon.

Jordan Forrest will be taking on the 26.2-mile challenge on April 22 to raise money for the national disability charity Sense, which he previously worked for.

He said: 'I've been inspired to run by my sister and cousin. Through their experiences, I've become aware of what life is like living with a disability.

'It felt right to give something back by running for Sense and to also say thank you for shaping me as a person.

'I'm incredibly nervous but enjoying the process of raising money to support the charity and raise awareness.'

He said his 16-year-old sister is deaf, while his 13-year-old cousin is blind.

Mr Forrest is hoping to raise £1,500 for charity, with £1,335 already secured so far.
