A charity event at North Walsham got two stars for the price of one when headlining comic Jimmy Cricket brought along evergreen entertainer friend Roy Hudd.

Irishman Jimmy was the star of the show with his zany humour, supported by local singer Dale Bullimore, at the event which raised 400 for Easte Anglia Children's Hospices.

Mr Hudd was in the audience who enjoyed the show at the town's community centre organsed by Colin Jeary of NWP Promotions, who said: 'It was a pleasant surprise to be told Roy Hudd would be attending the event. It was even better when at the end of the show Mr Hudd told me that he had thoroughly enjoyed the show and that I had done a very good job in the organising and running of it.'

It was the second show starring Jimmy and Dale to be run by Mr Jeary, who decided the repeat the successful 2009 format.

Mr Jeary has now got his thinking cap on, to try and bring another celebrity to the town.
