A East Anglian marine services company has the wind in its sails following its purchase of a renewable energy services firm.
James Fisher and Sons announced it had snapped up wind turbine inspection and repair company Rotos 360 on Wednesday.
The King's Lynn firm uses new technologies to inspect, repair and recondition wind farm rotor blades.
The acquisition will boost the offshore capabilities of Lowestoft-based James Fisher, which is supporting the construction of the Galloper wind farm off the Suffolk coast.
Nick Henry, chief executive of James Fisher, said: 'The acquisition of Rotos 360 provides James Fisher with market leading capability in wind turbine blade repair, further broadening its offering in the growing offshore wind farm sector.'
John Galliford, operations director of Rotos 360, said the acquisition would help the firm to 'increase the scope and scale' of its projects.
