A Norwich man was found dead at his home after concerns were raised for his safety, a coroner had heard.

At the opening of the inquest into the death of Jaime Wallwein this morning (Thursday), senior coroner for Norfolk Jacqueline Lake, said Mr Wallwein, 51, had died on January 7 this year.

Mr Wallwein was identified by his partner, Dawn Vicary.

Concerns had been raised over the safety of Mr Wallwein, who lived in Borrowdale Drive, Norwich, but was born in St Ives, Cambridgeshire.

Pathologist Dr James Sington, at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, gave the medical cause of death as polypharmacy toxicity and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

The inquest was adjourned to August 8, 2018.
