People in and around Great Yarmouth can continue the tradition of filling shoeboxes full of presents for people in need this Christmas.

Last year Smile International stopped their participation in the scheme and the Gorleston-based branch of Christian charity The International Aid Trust has taken on the task of collecting and distributing the colourful boxes.

The boxes can be filled up with toiletries and small presents like pens, pencils and cuddly toys and they are then sent to a child living in poverty who may otherwise receive nothing at Christmas.

Shoeboxes can be taken to the The International Aid Trust's depot in England's Lane, Gorleston or collected from your club, group or school or call 01493 445533.
