In honour of International Women's Day 2018 we have rounded up seven local women to follow on social media.

Whether it's being an epic girl-boss, a fantastic author or just plain awesome, these women prove that girls really can do it all. Follow them for your daily dose of female inspiration.

•Jessica-Jane Applegate MBE: Jessica is a 21-year-old paralympic swimmer from Great Yarmouth. After losing her funding and fearing retirement, she has continued to defy expectations by winning numerous competitions. She is an all-round sports champion and regularly supports local Norfolk businesses and events. Recently, they've also spoken about growing up with domestic violence. Their raw and personal accounts have opened up the conversation and helped highlight this crucial topic.
