A 67-year-old man from Norwich died at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital from a chronic and slow progressing disease, an inquest heard yesterday.

Michael Rusted, of Yarmouth Road, Thorpe St Andrew, suffered from the condition myotonic dystrophy, which causes muscle weakness.

Originally from Diss in south Norfolk, he died at the hospital on February 9.

A verdict of death by natural causes was recorded by Norfolk coroner William Armstrong.
