An inquest into the death of a woman who was struck by a reversing car on Christmas Eve has been opened and adjourned.
Ursula Knox, 85, was knocked down near her home in Meadow Close, North Wootton, neat King's Lynn.
She was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Lynn, and later to Addennbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge where she died on Christmas Day.
Her body was formally identified by her brother.
A post-mortem examination recorded the medical cause of death as traumatic brain injury.
Yesterday's hearing was adjourned until May 31 for a full inquest.
Neighbours of Ms Knox paid tribute to a 'very independent lady'.
The incident happened on the corner of the close, near a newsagents called Meadow Stores.
