An inquest opened this morning into the death of two brothers following a crash on the A140 in Horsham St Faith.
Sam Nobbs, 20, had been travelling with his brother Shane, 23, in a black Honda Civic when the car was involved in a crash with a red LDV Maxus at about 8am on Saturday, November 19.
Opening the inquest in Norwich, area coroner Yvonne Blake said: 'They were driving on the A140 when for reasons yet unknown they collided with another vehicle travelling towards them on the other side of the road.'
The brothers were pronounced dead at the scene while the driver of the van, a man in his 40s, suffered serious life-changing injuries.
Ms Blake said the medical cause of death was from multiple injuries.
Since their deaths, the brothers' family paid tribute to the 'fun-loving' pair.
Their mother Lisa Nobbs said: 'They lived life to the max. They always looked after me and put a smile on my face. My fridge will always be full now because they won't be here to eat my chocolate.
'I will miss waking up in the morning and my sons asking me for a coffee and a fag. They will always be in my heart, my two little rays of sunshine. Sleep tight babies, lots of love always and forever, mum.'
Their father Mark said: 'I have lost my little bodyguards, when I got in trouble they protected me.'
Their Uncle Gary Rickett added: 'Thanks for 23 years of fantastic memories. You will always be in my heart and memories. You will always be in the night air.'
Sam's girlfriend Jasmine Colk paid tribute and said: 'Sam changed my life, when I first met him he melted my heart, he still does now. Shane was just Shane, laughing and joking all the time. I feel privileged to be a massive part of their lives. I will never be able to love anybody the way I love Sam. My boys will always be in my heart.'
Shane's girlfriend Lauren Gooch also paid tribute and she said: 'ShaneyWayneyWoo, I will always love you; you were my first and proper love. We had the best memories and you taught me so much. You will always be in my heart, I will always be your little pudding. Sam always protected me like he was my brother, perfect little angels.'
The family also thanked everybody in the local area for their kind messages and support.
They said 'everybody has been so kind, we would like to thank all the people who have donated money via the Facebook page. We will use this money to give Sam and Shane the send-off they deserve and every penny will be spent on them.'
But they also hit out after Sam was convicted and fined for motoring offences five days after he died.
He had been due to appear at Norwich Magistrates' Court on Thursday, November 24, in connection with driving offences.
He had been charged with using a motor vehicle without third party insurance and otherwise in accordance with a licence, in that he was a provisional licence holder driving without L plates and appropriate supervision. Both offences are said to have happened on South Beach Parade, Great Yarmouth, on July 7 this year. The case was heard administratively with the magistrates' court confirming matters were proved in his absence.
His licence was endorsed with six penalty points, he was ordered to pay a £660 fine, costs of £85 and a £66 victim surcharge.
The decision to go ahead with the case days after the death of Sam and his brother their outraged family and friends.
A spokesman for Her Majesty's Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS) previously said: 'Our sympathies are with the family and friends of Sam Nobbs. At the time this case was listed, Norwich Magistrates' Court was unaware of his death.
'We would encourage the family of Mr Nobbs to contact us at a time of convenience so we can arrange for the penalty points and fine to be set aside.'
A full inquest into the brothers' death will be held on May 2, 2017, at 11am in Norwich.
Police are appealing for anyone with information on the collision to contact them on 101.
