An inquest into the death of a man who was assaulted outside a Great Yarmouth pub has been opened and adjourned.
Ian Church, 40, of Great Yarmouth, died at the James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston on Monday, May 7, following an attack near the Bricklayers Arms pub in Nelson Road Central the previous Saturday.
A post-mortem examination failed to establish a cause of death.
In Norwich this morning, Norfolk Coroner William Armstrong opened an inquest into Mr Church's death.
The inquest was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
