An inquest has been opened and adjourned into the death of a 47-year-old man from north Norfolk.
Michael Rodwell was found unresponsive on January 20 at his home in Brentwood, Brancaster Staithe.
Senior Norfolk coroner Jacqueline Lake said the results of the post mortem examination showed there had been several contributory factors to cause his death including aspiration of gastric contents, impact from alcohol and opiates and heart disease.
At the time of his death, Mr Rodwell was described as a loving partner, father of three and grandfather of one.
The inquest has been adjourned to September 5 at Norfolk Coroner's Court in Norwich.
