The inquest in the death of a Norfolk woman who died in a car accident in Australia has been opened and adjourned.

Patricia Goldspink, 66, of Copeman Road, Aylsham, died on January 25 after the car she was in left the road, went into a crash barrier and fell down a steep incline.

Yesterday's inquest heard how the retired hairdresser Mrs Goldspink, who was a widow, had been a passenger in the car which was travelling on a mountain pass in an area called Evans Head in New South Wales.

She was pronounced dead at the scene and a post mortem investigation revealed she died from multiple injuries. The inquest was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
