An inquest into the death of Michael Currer, who was killed at his home in Norwich, has been set for later this year.

Mr Currer, 59, known as Mick to his family and friends, was found dead in Saffron Square on November 12, 2016.

The opening of the inquest into his death was held on February 21, 2017, and heard Mr Currer was unemployed, and had died as a result of 'injuries consistent with an assault'.

A post-mortem examination concluded he died as a result of severe chest and facial injuries.

A review was held at Norfolk Coroner's Court on Thursday and heard that a two day full inquest will take place at Great Yarmouth Magistrates' Court on December 18 and 19.

A total of three people, two men and one woman, were arrested in connection with the murder, and have all been released on bail.
