The first happened just before 4.15pm when a silver Mazda and a red Toyota Aventis collided at The Street, Sculthorpe.
Firefighters had to cut off the roof of one of the cars to rescue a person who was trapped.
One was airlifted to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and two others were taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, in King's Lynn, by ambulance. It is believed no-one had life-threatening injuries.
Just over an hour later at about 5.30pm there was another crash involving a motorbike and van on the A148 near Sculthorpe. Those involved suffered minor injuries.
