A man indecently exposed himself to an 11-year-old in Long Stratton. The incident happened at about 6.25pm on Tuesday on St Ledger, towards Porter Road in the village.

The victim, who comes from Long Stratton, was riding her bicycle along St Ledger when the man, driving a white van, exposed himself to her.

He was described as being white, aged about 30, with very short shaven dark brown or black hair.

He had stubble on his face and was described as being scruffy in appearance. He was wearing a sleeveless grey t-shirt and jeans.

The van was described as being white and very clean. She thinks there was a ladder attached to the roof and said that the van looked very new and rounded in shape with no windows on the rear doors.

A police spokesman said: “This was a particularly traumatising incident for the young girl and officers would like to hear from anyone aware of any similar incidents or who recognise the descriptions of either the man or van.”
