Norwich South MP Clive Lewis appeared on this morning's episode of The Wright Stuff, addressing the Labour manifesto leak, the importance of a second referendum on the Brexit deal and Labour's chances in the General Election – 'the most important in the post-war period'.
Mr Lewis appeared alongside journalist and broadcaster Anne Diamond and presenter Stefan Gates on the Channel 5 panel show, where he referred to Labour's election campaign as 'a marathon not a sprint'.
Speaking about taxation on big business, Mr Lewis said: 'We use tax as a dirty word - it's actually the glue of society.
'Some corporations make more money than small countries - we want to see people do well in business, make money, make profit and create jobs but pay their way as well.'
He also highlighted how the leak of the Labour manifesto last week has helped, rather than hindered, the party's chances.
'I think we could have a leak like that every week during the general election campaign – it's great because the manifesto is great.

'It gave us a whole week of talking about some of our popular policies, including the NHS and national education.'
Addressing his call for a second referendum on the terms of the Brexit deal, he said: 'If David Cameron and George Osborne genuinely felt they had any chance of failing, the referendum would have been a two-stage process – the first an in/out EU referendum and then a second one on the terms of the deal.
'Anyone who wants to see us unite as a country and have Britain behind them needs to give people a say.'
His new wife Katy Steel was sat in the audience and said she'd not seen her new husband as much as she had hoped due to the impending election.
'I'm not going to see him until June 8 so I thought I'd come and support,' she added. 'I had the wedding day of my dreams and honeymoon of my nightmares.'
The newlyweds were forced to postpone their honeymoon when they realised they could not justify a week in Cornwall at a time when Mr Lewis should be campaigning.
