A boat with two people on board was towed to Brancaster this evening after its engine failed.

Hunstanton Lifeboat was called at 5.35pm to go to the aid of the 20-foot vessel, which had suffered engine failure about a mile off Brancaster.

The Hunstanton Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) volunteer crew towed the vessel into the harbour.

The two people on board had recently bought the boat and were travelling from Thornham harbour to Wells.

The lifeboat had returned to the station by 7pm.
