An elderly man was rescued from the sea after his kayak capsized off the West Norfolk coast.
Humber Coastguard requested the launch of Hunstanton Lifeboat after receiving reports of what was believed to be a capsized dinghy off Snettisham beach at 8.30am this morning (Thursday, April 19).
On arrival at the scene, the lifeboat crew noticed the dinghy was a kayak, and the occupant, a 67-year-old man who was not wearing a life jacket, was in the water.
After making several attempts to get back into his kayak, the man was rescued by the lifeboat crew who were able to take him and his kayak back to Snettisham beach.
A lifeboat spokesman said the man did not require medical treatment.
