The bells on the Morris dancers jingled across the courtyard as they danced a series of jigs which were enjoyed by a captivated crowd.

Others chose to head to the craft marquee where an abundance of treats were on offer, from artisan cakes and pastries by Joaquim Teles to Hannah Beckett's button crafts and accessories.

Down on the farm there were freshly hatched chicks under a heat lamp and newborn lambs as well as tractor and trailer rides to see the heavy horses carrying out tasks in the fields.

With more than 1,000 people through the gates by lunchtime organisers were confident that, despite some rather chilly weather for the time of year, their final numbers would be on target for the event.
