Hundreds of people have paid their respects to a Wymomdham man who was affectionately known as the King of Sport.
On Saturday more than 500 people gathered at Wymondham Town Football Club to remember Les King, who died aged 81 a week ago. Mr King was life president of the club and the former boxer was patron of the Wymondham-based charity Star Throwers.
Before Wymondham Town Football Club's game against Loddon a minute's silence was held at 2.20pm.
Before the minute's silence referee Phil South led the players from Wymondham and Loddon to the pitch through the large crowd followed by Wymondham Town Football Club's committee.
Mr King's son Sean joined the committee on the pitch as did his daughter-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandson.
After the minute's silence there was then a minute's applause in appreciation of Mr King's life and legacy.
The game ended up a six goal thriller with a 3-3 draw.
Mr King was also life patron of the boxing club the Norwich Lads Club and was life president of Wroxham FC and chairman of the Norwich and District Ex-boxers' Association.
On Saturday Norwich Lads Club held its grand dinner night with Owen Blunden awarded the inaugural Les King Boxer of the Night award.
