Norwich City Hall will light up in a blaze of orange and blue to mark a growing awareness of Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
The iconic civic hub will be lit up in the MND Association's colours from 8pm on Wednesday, June 21.
It follows Norfolk County Council ratifying a decision made by the council's adult social care committee to support the Motor Neurone Disease Charter in April.
Sue Heal of the Norwich and Waveney branch of the MND Association said the charter set out ways local authorities could support people in their communities with the neurological disease.
Mrs Heal said she was delighted the city hall would light up in recognition of the charter's adoption.
The event will also help to mark MND Awareness Month, which is taking place throughout June.
