The A47 between Swaffham and King's Lynn has been reopened after a lorry full of potatoes overturned.

Police said the HGV crashed at around 3.30am on Saturday, spilling its load onto the A47 Constitution Hill.

The A47 has was closed westbound from the Hardwick roundabout to Swaffham for recovery work until about midday.

Workers were in the road for hours as both the lorry and its potatoes need to be removed.

Highways England tweeted at 12.11pm: 'Collision clear-up work complete, lane closure removed #A47 W/B btwn #A1122 + #A10 nr #KingsLynn. Have a safe journey this afternoon.'
