In an isolated workshop on the Norfolk and Suffolk border, an award-winning business has been producing bespoke hand-made pens and delighting writers since 2013.
Run by Stacey Lear and Phillip Eve, Treasured Pens in Stradbroke, near Diss, produces hand-made fine ballpoint, rollerball and fountain pens using a variety of materials, such as locally-sourced 400-year-old oak, a range of natural woods, whiskey barrels or acrylic.
No two pens made are ever the same and all are made by Mr Eve on his small wooden lathe. What began as a hobby and love of wood turning turned into a business idea when two friends asked Mr Eve to make a bespoke pen for their wedding.
Seeing the potential for a business, Treasured Pens has grown to supply unique pens to writers, poets, musicicans and stationery aficionados around the world. Rick Wakeman is known to be a fan. Visit www.treasuredpens.co.uk for more information.
