A HORSE had to be destroyed last night after being hit by a Subaru Impreza.
The horse had bolted from its bridle and was hit by the car that was driving along Halesworth Road, Ilketshall St Lawrence, between Bungay and Halesworth, at around 5pm.
Police and a vet were called, but the horse had to be destroyed at the scene after fracturing its leg.
There were no injuries to the driver or the rider who had been with the horse before it bolted.
