Plans for a housing development on a former factory site are set to get the final go-ahead next week following a compromise over the number of affordable homes being provided.
Paint brush manufacturer Hamilton Acorn has submitted proposals for 86 homes on its redundant factory off Halford Road, Attleborough, which closed more than two years ago.
The scheme will be back before Breckland Councillors on Monday after the district valuer confirmed that the development would not be viable under current market conditions with a 40pc affordable housing requirement.
Councillors are being asked to approve a 22pc affordable housing contribution, which equates to 19 affordable homes.
