A man has been airlifted to hospital after a hit-and-run in Spixworth.

Police were called to Ivy Road, at the junction with Buxton Road, by the ambulance service at 9.25am after a van hit a male pedestrian.

The man suffered a leg injury and was airlifted to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening. The vehicle, which is described as a light blue transit style van, was seen heading towards Norwich and it’s believed it may have some damage to the windscreen.
