A pedestrian was struck by a car that failed to stop in a collision at Wilby, near Eye, at the weekend.
Suffolk police are appealing for information about the incident, at 10.50pm on Saturday, by the village hall in London City Road.
The 33-year-old male pedestrian was walking his dog along the road, in the direction of Laxfield. He heard a car approach and stood at the edge of the road. He then leant forward slightly to get his dog to sit at the side of the road and, as he did so, he was struck by the car on his shoulder.
The collision knocked him to ground, causing him to suffer bruising, cuts and abrasions. It is believed that the car involved was a small Peugeot. Any information to PC Jon Eaves at Eye Police Station via 01473 613500.
