Historical gold coins to be sold at Fakenham auction

A collection of historical gold coins and proof sets will go up for sale at a Fakenham auction in three weeks time.
The coins will be auctioned by James and Sons and starts with 5 1974 Krugerrands, before selling a gold Guinea from the reign of James II.
Other lots include a gold Guinea from the reign of William III, 23 half-Sovereigns from the reigns of Victoria, Edward VII and George V and 60 Sovereigns from the reigns of Victoria through to Elizabeth II.
The proof sets include coin issues from 1971 through to 2013, as well as a variety of single coins.
Auctioneer David James said: “Gold is always valuable and is doing particularly well at the moment.”
