A number of free archeological events are taking place in King's Lynn this summer holiday.
The events form part of West Norfolk council's Heritage Lottery Fund-supported Hidden Heritage of the Gaywood River project.
Members of the public are being encouraged to take part in an archaeological dig, to excavate and find artefacts.
The Mini Time Team Excavations on August 4/5, from 10am to 4pm, will take place in Kettlewell Lane in King's Lynn, which will explore the location of the ancient water-mill, including the medieval East Gate.
The Artefact Collection and Learning Day School, on August 11, from 11am to 3pm, will be held at Gaywood Library, for youngsters to examine the artefacts found on the excavations.
In a public lecture at Gaywood Library on September 15, 6pm to 8pm, experts and researchers will explore documents and artefacts that give clues to the origins of Gaywood.
