Hethersett Junior School welcomed the Rt Rev Alan Winton, the Bishop of Thetford, to dedicate their new stained glass window at the end of February.

The window design features the new school logo at its heart, with branches of a 'values tree' bearing words of the school's core ethos, such as creativity and truthfulness.

Head teacher Matthew Parslow-Williams said: 'As a Church of England junior school I felt it was important for us to reflect our status.

'In collaboration with a very talented teaching assistant Rachel Chamberlain we were able, through artistic interpretation, to highlight our values and everything that is important to us as a school.'

Meanwhile, Norwich City winger Josh Murphy popped into class to launch their new minibus.

After taking part in a netball lesson, Murphy snipped the ribbon and climbed inside.

The school's parent teacher association and families of pupils helped fundraise for the project.

Mr Parslow-Williams thanked the football club and the Community Sports Foundation for their support and said: 'Having a minibus is going to give our children opportunities which they didn't have before and enhance our already exciting curriculum.'

He added that it would be used to take youngsters out on trips, including to the Royal Norfolk Show and football and rugby events.
