Its opening was the realisation of a long-held dream. Now more support is needed to come on board and help manage Cromer Skate Park.

An appeal has gone out to recruit new members willing and able to give up some time to serve on the skate park committee.

The £150,000 facility opened at The Meadow to a fanfare last summer – providing plenty of thrills and spills since then for boarders and bikers.

Town mayor and Cromer Skate Park committee member Tim Adams said: 'It was a great achievement getting the skate park built and the majority of people considered their work done. But there is still ongoing work in terms of maintenance and future renewal.'

The park, which has a painted sea and beach floor, was designed by Dorset-based firm Maverick, with input by young committee members.
