A team at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award.

The human resources operations team has been shortlisted for a People Management Awards by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

And the trust has been shortlisted for the Best Employee Engagement Initiative in recognition of the 'know your staff' approach to people management and the positive impact of their attendance policy.

Ashley Judd, deputy director of workforce, said: 'We are thrilled that our 'know your staff' initiative has been externally acknowledged in such a way – to be shortlisted for the award is a real honour.'

The team has been invited to present their initiative to an expert panel of judges in July, prior to attending the final awards ceremony in London in September 2018.

Jeremy Over, NNUH director of workforce said: 'To be recognised like this is fantastic news for both the team and the trust. Good people management plays a key part in the running of an organisation and I'd like to share my congratulations to all those involved in NNUH being shortlisted.'
