Lives could be saved as a new defibrillator arrives in a market town.
Attleborough Community First Responders said the new defibrillator on the wall of Attleborough Baptist Church on Hargham Road was an essential addition to the town, with the only other being located on Connaught Road.
Staff at the church have been given special training on how to use the equipment, but Kate Midgley, of Attleborough First Responders, said any member of the public was able to use it.
She said: 'A public access defibrillator can be used by anyone and no prior training is needed because the machine will guide you.
'If someone is not breathing, is unconscious, suffering convulsions, or perhaps suffering chest pains, you need to call 999 for the ambulance. If there is a second person to assist you and the control room realise that there is no ambulance immediately available, they will provide the code and location of the nearest cabinet.'
