A series of gentle Wednesday walks is launching from Great Yarmouth library.

Billed as an opportunity to stretch your legs, make new friends, and appreciate your surroundings they start on January 17.

The walks are around a mile or shorter and are aimed at people who are just starting or returning to gentle activity.

• January 24, Heritage Quarter

• January 31 2017, Market Place and Town Wall

• February 7, Route tbc

• February 14, St George's Park

• February 21, Heritage Quarter

• February 28, Market Place and Town Wall

• March 7, Route tbc

To take part meet outside the library for 1.30pm, 20 minutes early if you are new.

The walks are run by friendly volunteers.

Meanwhile there is exercise for little ones too.

A free taster session for baby massage and yoga is being staged at the library on Tuesday January 23 at 9.30am, followed by a similar class for children walking to aged three at 10.30am.

Bring your own soft blanket and yoga mat if you have one, weekly classes to follow.
